Lara Logan
Lara Logan, born 29 March 1971 is an South African radio and television journalist and war reporter. She worked as a correspondent for CBS News between 2002 and 2018.60 Minutes executive producer Jeff Fager called her factually wrong and politcally biased story about the 2012 Benghazi attack "the worst mistake on my 10-year watch." In 2019, she was hired by Sinclair Broadcast Group, which is a conservative media company. The company was acquired by Fox Nation in January 2020. Fox News runs the subscription streaming service. She said that she was "dumped by the company" in March 2022. Logan did her schooling as a reporter at the Sunday Tribune, Durban (1988-1989), then the Daily News (1990-1992). In 1992 she was hired by Reuters Television Africa, primarily as a senior producer. After four year, she moved to freelance journalism. Assignments included those as a reporter/editor/producer with ITN, Fox/SKY News in London, CBS News, ABC News in London, NBC, NBC and European Broadcasting Union. She was a reporter for CNN, reporting on incidents like the 1998 United States embassy bombings in Nairobi and Tanzania and the conflict in Northern Ireland, and the Kosovo war.
